Spider Veins & Varicose Veins Treatment

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment designed to treat spider veins and varicose veins by injecting a solution called sclerosant directly into the blood vessel or lymph vessel. The injection causes scarring of small problematic veins that then forces blood to flow through healthier pathways. The veins treated using this method may take a month to disappear completely.

Varicose veins are also referred to as chronic venous insufficiency. They can occur when vein walls weaken causing blood to pool inside the blood vessel or lymph vessel. This in turn can cause swelling, irritation, skin rashes, and other physical discomforts. Post-injection, the treated veins shrink with smaller vessels sometimes being reabsorbed by the body.
